Accurate humidity measurements play an important role in the process of stability chamber manufacturing. Osworld ensures that every stability chamber is tested for its proper functioning and care is taken in appropriate components selection. This has prompted the use of a very reliable humidity sensor manufactured by Humirel, France. The model HM1500LF has an accurate humidity measurement, within 10% RH to 95% RH. More importantly any excursion out of this range, notably lower than 10% or greater than 95% does not affect its reliability.

Based on the rugged HS110LF capacitive humidity sensor, HM1500LF is a dedicated humidity transducer designed for applications where a reliable and accurate measurement is needed. Direct interface with a microcontroller is made possible with the modules linear voltage output.

Some of its main features that add to its wide applicability in Osworld stability chambers are its small size, product is free from lead, Cr, Cd and Hg, it is not affected by water immersion and has full inter changeability. High reliability and long term stability with very low temperature dependence are in built. It is able to operate from 3 to 10 volts supply voltage.

The sensor has passed through qualification processes of Humirel including vibration, shock, storage, high temperature and humidity. It has an inbuilt protection against reverse polarity.

The sensor being an integral part of the Osworld stability chamber ensures the smooth functioning and reduces down time due to sensor malfunctioning. The usual fluctuations and issues related to excessive condensation within the chamber are avoided. In the event of water condensate being present on the inner chamber surface and then forming on sensor tip is by and large eliminated by use of a good quality sensor.
